No more photoshop mockups! Digital Style Guides

Timeslot: Friday, 3:45 - 4:45 p.m.

One of the hardest aspects of the deisgn and development process is communication between the different project participants. The goal of this session will be to address this problem by creating a visual language that can be shared between designers, marketing, customer/stakeholders and developers. In this session we will cover what are digital style guides, how to build your own digital style guide and how to use your style guide to reduce the time needed in many of the common design, development and content management tasks.

The target audience of this session will be everyone who is involved in the final design of the website from designers, developers and project managers. The conversation will be high level and will discuss what options exist and we will create an example style guide in the session. Finally we will cover how style guides can remove or lessen the need for traditional photoshop mockups by using a live style guide.
